Step 1: Choose materials for firebox

As an ethanol fireplace is a real flame fireplace, so custom fireboxes must be made of non‐combustible materials, such as stainless steel, stone, and marble.

 

Step 2: Build a wall hole

Please firstly check size of your bought fireplace, or you can ask your manufacturer to supply the drawing of burner with you . Conbine below data to build a wall hole.

For a single side open wall hole, your need to make sure the thickness of the inside wall is 20 cm for rapid heat dissipation. We suggest the open size of the wall hole is the length of your fireplace + 20~30 cm, the inside height of the wall hole is 50 cm, and the width of the wall hole is the width of your fireplace + 20 cm.

Please refer below dimensions indicated in the sketch.

The size of the cavity needs to be the same as the size of the ethanol fireplace burner; the length of the cavity must be shorter than the length of the ethanol fireplace burner top plate and longer than the length of the fireplace body; the width of the wall hole must be less than the width of the top panel of ethanol fireplace burner and greater than the width of the fireplace body. The height of the wall hole follows the same principle, too.The less-than sign is used below for clear expression:

• length of the fireplace body < length of the wall hole < length of the top panel of ethanol fireplace burner
• width of the fireplace body < width of the wall hole < width of the top panel of ethanol fireplace burner
• height of the fireplace body < height of the wall hole < height of the top panel of ethanol fireplace burner

Step 3: Please leave a electricity power connection socket on the right side under / near the hole for burner to fit in. And please have this socket electricity supply can control on / off from outside wall. Step 3 for smart ethanol fireplace burner, for manual ethanol fireplace, you can ignore this step.

Step 4: Measure with a level to see if the surface of the base is even, make sure the whole fireplace stay at same level.

Step 5: Normal fireplace is a finished product, open the package and take out the fireplace.

Step 6: Simply use the lifting handle to hook the two burner heads and insert them horizontally into the wall hole directly.

Step 7: Make sure the top panel is level with the base, as shown in the following image.

 

 

 

• Regular maintenance and inspections are crucial to prolonging the lifespan of your fireplace. Since Smart Ethanol Fireplace Alcohol Burners burn clean fuels, clean-up and maintenance are easy and hassle-free.

• Never use steel wool or scrubbing brushes/sponges, as these will scratch the surface.
• Use a glass cleaner to clean the fireplaces glass screens.

 

 

Remove the Burner

Make sure the Smart Ethanol Fireplace Alcohol Burner has been off and cool for quite some time. Take out the actual burning unit form the fireplace and drain out any left over fuel. Get a dry cloth and wipe the remaining residue of fuel that maybe left until the surface is somewhat dry.

 

Clean the Burner

With a damp cloth, warm water, and very mild soap, proceed to wipe and clean the Smart Ethanol Fireplace Alcohol Burner until zero residue is left. Wipe with a dry cloth and hen set aside to air dry completely.

 

Wipe the Inset

Like you did with the Smart Ethanol Fireplace Alcohol Burner, wipe down the insert and remaining pieces with a dry cloth to remove any residue.

 

Clean the Inset

Using the same type of mild soap and warm water, get a clean cloth and begin to wash the surfaces of the insert. Wipe with a dry cloth and then set that aside to air dry, too.

 

Reassemble and Refill

Once everything is squeaky clean and air dry, begin to put your pieces back together. Carefully refill the Smart Ethanol Fireplace Alcohol Burner with new bio-ethanol fuel.

* Do not place the burner in wet enviroment or condition.

* Never leave an open fire unattended at any time!

* In a house of typical construction, that is, one that is not of unusually tight construction due to heavy insulation and tight seals against air infiltration, an adequate supply of air for combustion and ventilation is provided through infiltration.

* Do not use the fireplace in a bathroom, a room where sleeping accommodation is provided or any other small room.

* Never fill fuel while unit is still burning or hot.

* Insert burner into fireproof materials only.

* Never install burner into plastic or wood.

* Using a burner with flammable materials is at your own risk.

* Keep out of reach of children.

* This fireplace will produce heat, but should not be used as a main source of heat.

* The fireplace must only be installed on a solid surface of non- flammable material.

*Be sure to keep any flammable materials such as drapes/curtains and any decorations at least 4 feet/1 meter away from fireplace.

* Do not place any items on top of or inside fireplace.

* Do not touch the fireplace while lit or still hot.

* It is extremely dangerous and forbidden to use bio-ethanol car fuel or any unapproved fuel.

* Always use a funnel if manually refilling the fireplace.

* Never add fuel to the burner while fire is burning or unit is still hot.

*Allow at least 30 minutes for fuel tray to cool down before refueling.

* Do not ingest bio-ethanol fuel and avoid contact with eyes and skin.

* Spilled alcohol must be removed with an absorbent tissue and cleaned with water to prevent ignition outside the burner reservoir.

* Be sure to have a fire-extinguishing device in the proximity of the fireplace in case of emergencies.

* Never leave a lit fireplace unattended.

* Keep children and pets away from the fireplace. Do not cover the fireplace.

* Do not place any flammable materials or clothing on the fireplace.

* Do not smoke when filling the burner with fuel.

* Store your fuel containers away from any heat source.

* Be sure to store and keep your fuel away and out of reach of children and pets.

* Never blow out the flame in order to put it out; this will only increase the flame.

* If you wish to extinguish the flame before the fuel has completely burned out, please follow instructions in this manual.

* It is forbidden to modify this burner in any way.

* Avoid heavy airflow ( fans high breeze..) in the room where the fireplace is operated.
